The steadily-falling snow didn't bother the young siren; she was inside, hurrying around the cafe and serving the patrons who came to seek refuge from the cold outside. Many seemed to be watching the silent snow fall from the safety of the warm building, sipping coffee and chatting.

My entry to

contest to draw one or more of the characters from their project, "The Taffetas" in a wintery scene. So I chose something with hot chocolate in. Because aside from warm fires, warm bowls of vegetable stew and warm blankets, nothing is more comforting during wintertime than warm drinks.

I had fun choosing everyone's clothing, and trying to envisage what the world looks like, because there was limited information for those particular things at this point in time. Tried to capture a sort of rubbery feel to Elena's 'hair', since she's aquatic in nature.
