So after five days or so of working on it between various distractions, here is a looped sequence in "Outcast Hero", of Vira putting on a puffy jacket.
I used a video of myself performing the action as a reference and -bar a few minor consistency things which I'll fix up later- I am very pleased with the results. It's funny how you don't notice what kinds of poses go into everyday movements until you film and study them frame by frame.
She doesn't have a mouth right now as I have yet to perform lipsynch. C:
Amazing! The movements look so real and natural, particularly with such subtle details that could have easily been accidentally missed or whatever. Safe to say, I'm impressed :3
WOW, that's some seriously impressive animation! o__o
Haha, it's funny though, the little things you learn when you become an artist. Like, I took virtually no notice of the folds in clothing until I started studying them in my illustration class last semester.

And precisely. I still have challenges with clothing folds, but that book you mentioned in the comments of one of your pictures looks like it'd be very useful for that. Pricey, though - it's on my 'to buy one of these days' list. XD

Well, until then, there's this: [link] It shows all the different types of folds and the drawings of them from the book. For a sketchbook assignment I had to copy some of those sketches, and it helped me a lot.

I'm hoping that eventually the whole movie will have a similar framerate, maybe smoother. But we'll see. C:
