Hey, now, what d'ya mean I'm a sap? I'm a mighty critter, I'll tell you straight up. Heh, before I let my distraction carry me away from the subject matter, onward we go!
The soft shading and gentle curve you applied to your line art really brings out the delicacy of this piece. What I like about it is that it is soft without being too soft or pretentious, which is always a pretty good thing. Everything blends well, but it's also strong. Allow me to elaborate.
Although you used soft shading and smooth lineart, the colors are vivid. The shading is powerful and contrasts well, and I feel as though you were able to capture the pose and the mood very well. You did well highlighting texture, as well.
Can't really find anything to nitpick about. Maybe I'm just tired- ahaha, I kid, I kid! This really did turn out well, straight out to where you plopped the characters. The alignment towards the side helps put emphasis on the characters, and the simplicity of the background highlights the focus.
Eeyep. This is the bandersnatch, reporting in with cheer. Good work, bud!
